Women's Track & Field
- Concordia senior Leah Kay (Sr., Dassel, Minn./Dassel-Cokato HS) earned her fifth All-American honor at the recently completed NCAA National Indoor Meet at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. Kay finished in seventh place in the pentathlon to earn her second straight All-American award in the indoor pentathlon.
Kay finished the event with a total of 3,309 points which was only five points out of sixth place and only one point ahead of MIAC champion Kaelene Lundstrom who finished in eighth place. Kay was the top MIAC finisher in the national event.

Baseball (5-3/0-0 MIAC - swept UM-Morris 16-2 & 6-2/
split with Edgewood 2-4 & 8-5)
- Concordia continued their Metrodome stretch by winning three of four games last weekend. The Cobbers swept UM-Morris 16-2 and 6-2 and split with Edgewood - losing 4-2 and winning 8-5. The 16 runs in the first game against the Cougars was the most that CC has scored since the start of the 2008 season when they plated 28 against D'Youville of New York. The four games are part of a 13-game stretch that Concordia will play in the Metrodome before the start of outdoor baseball. The indoor season will finish off with a game against the University of Minnesota on Mar. 31.
- Cobber senior shortstop Jake Krause (Moorhead, Minn.) had a career doubleheader against UM-Morris on Friday. In Concordia's sweep, Krause was 6-for-9 and drove in seven runs. He also hit his first home run of the season, had a triple, scored four runs and stole five bases. Krause added three more hits against Edgewood and is now hitting .379 on the season.
- Concordia junior pitcher Jake Torrison (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) picked up his first win of the season in the team's 6-2 win over UM-Morris. Torrison has now pitched 7.1 innings on the year and has not allowed an earned run. He is one of four Cobber pitchers who have pitched at least one inning and has not allowed an earned run. The Cobbers have a team ERA of 3.67 which is three runs fewer than last year's final team ERA of 6.82.
Fastpitch Softball (2-13/0-0 MIAC)

- Concordia will return to action on Apr. 6 when they open up conference play with a twinbill at Bethel.
Men's Tennis (5-6/1-2 MIAC - beat Hamline 5-4)
- Concordia earned their first conference win of the season by beating Hamline 5-4 on Saturday. The Cobbers picked up the win by claiming victories in the final two single matches of the day.
- Cobber freshmen Brian Olson (West Fargo, N.D.) and Devin Larson (Baxter, Minn./Brainerd HS) recorded the decisive singles wins against Hamline. Olson won 6-4, 7-6 (7-0) at No.5 singles and then Larson finished the match off with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No.6 singles. Both players have a team-leading six singles wins on the year.
Women's Tennis (3-5/1-2 MIAC - beat Hamline 6-3)
- Concordia beat Hamline 6-3 on Saturday to pick up their first MIAC win of the season. The Cobbers won two of the three doubles matches against the Pipers and then closed out the match with four victories in singles play.
- Cobber junior Melanie Gail (Madison, Minn./Lac Qui Parle Valley HS) won her team-leading fifth singles match of the season against Hamline. Gail won 6-4, 6-3 at No.4 singles and is now 5-3 on the season. She also teamed with lone CC senior Amy Freeman (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley HS) at No.2 doubles and recorded an 8-6 win. The tandem is now 3-2 on the year in doubles play.
