Wrestling
- For the second straight season Concordia finished second at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet. The Cobbers had nine of their 10 wrestlers finish in the top five and finished with 142.0 total team points which is their highest total at a region meet in program history. Concordia also had four individuals qualify for the NCAA national Meet which is also a program record.
Men's Basketball (13-12/9-11 MIAC - beat St. Olaf 72-68)
- Concordia beat St. Olaf 72-68 on Saturday to finish the 2009-10 season with a 13-12 overall record. It is the first time since 2002-03 that the Cobbers have posted a winning record to end the season. It is only the seventh winning season in the past 20 years for the Cobbers.
- Cobber junior John Fraase (Coon Rapids, Minn.) finished the 2009-10 season by leading the MIAC in rebounding in conference games. Fraase ended the year with a 10.5 rebounds per game average marking the second straight season he has led the league in rebounding. Fraase had 16 points and 15 rebounds in the team's win over St. Olaf which was his fifth straight double-double and sixth in the final seven games. He finished with 13 double-doubles on the year
Women's Basketball (18-8/17-5 MIAC - beat St. Kate's 76-71/
beat St. Olaf 76-56/lost to St. Kate's 79-65)
- Concordia finished their season on Monday night by losing to St. Kate's in the quarterfinals of the MIAC Tournament. It marked the eighth consecutive trip to the conference playoffs for the Cobbers. Concordia finished third in the MIAC final regular season standings which is the fifth time in the last six years they have finished in the top 3 of the MIAC regular season standings
- Concordia women’s basketball player Maggie Bauernfeind (Jr., Rosemount, Minn.) led the MIAC in free throw percentage in conference games. Bauernfeind made 50 of her 56 (.893) free throws during league play and finished the regular season by making 31 of her final 33 shots from the foul line.
Men's Hockey (5-15-5/4-6-5 MIAC - tied #8 Hamline 2-2/
lost at #8 Hamline 3-0)
- Concordia finished the 2009-10 season with a 4-6-5 record in MIAC play. The five ties in league play sets a new conference record for most ties in a single season by one team. The Cobbers also finished with 15 conference points which are the most for the Cobbers since the 2002-03 season.
- Concordia sophomore Nick Thielen (Moorhead, Minn.) led the team in scoring with 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points. That is the most by a Cobber player since the 2006-07 season. Thielen was also tied for 12th in the MIAC in points in conference games with 16.
Women's Hockey (12-9-2/7-7-2 MIAC - beat Hamline 4-1 and 8-0)
- Cobber sophomore Katelyn Dold (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) has recorded at least one point in 10 of the team's last 12 games and currently leads the MIAC in scoring. Dold has 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points in conference play and is leading the league in scoring by eight points. She is also first in goals scored and assists in the MIAC. Overall Dold has 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points and is fifth in the nation in points per game (1.57). Her 36 points are the most by a Cobber player since the 2003-04 season and are the fifth most in program history.
- Concordia will finish off the regular season this weekend when they play a two-game series at St. Thomas. The Cobbers are currently 7-7-2 in the conference and only one point behind the fifth, and final, playoff spot.
Men's Track & Field (competed at the SJU Quadrangular Meet)
- Concordia sophomore Felix Okoth (Mombasa, Kenya) had the best meet of any Cobber athlete at the St. John's Quadrangular on Saturday. Okoth finished second in the long jump (21-02.00) and third in the triple jump (42-03.25). He is currently ranked fifth in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump in the MIAC this season.
- Concordia had two track athletes with fifth-place finishes at the SJU Quad Meet. Troy Henne (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) ran a season-best 1:26.10 in the 600 meters and freshman Scott Anderson (Fargo, N.D./Oak Grove HS) was fifth in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:42.54.
Women's Track & Field (competed at the CSB Quadrangular Meet)
- Cobber junior Emily Davis (Litchfield, Minn.) led Concordia at the St. Ben's Quadrangular Meet on Saturday. Davis uncorked a toss of 49-03.75 in the weight throw which is the fifth farthest in school history. That distance is the fourth best in the conference this season and less than two feet shy of provisionally qualifying for nationals.
- Concordia had 25 personal best marks at the CSB Quad Meet on Saturday. The Cobbers had five different athletes set personal best marks in the 55-meter dash. In that event, sophomore Tatijana MullerDahlberg (Fargo, N.D./Oak Grove HS) ran a 7.56 which is the fifth fastest time in school history.
W. Swimming & Diving (Finished 7th at MIAC Championship Meet)
- Concordia completed their best MIAC Conference Meet in five years by finishing with a final team total of 254 points and placing seventh. It is the most team points at a conference meet for the Cobbers since the 2000-01 season and the highest team finish since the 2004-05 campaign.
- Cobber junior diver Amy Glubzinski (Novi, Mich.) won the 3-meter diving event at the MIAC Championship Meet and finished third in the 1-meter to earn MIAC Women’s Diver of the Meet. The Cobbers have now had two divers win the top conference honor in the past five years. At the MIAC Meet, Concordia had seven divers place in the top 17 of the 3-meter competition and five finish in the top 11 in the 1-meter. Lauren Trudeau (Sr., Stillwater, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) finished second in both the 3-meter and 1-meter events and posted her third NCAA national provisional qualifying score of the season in the 1-meter.
Wrestling (12-5 - Finished 2nd at NCAA Regional Meet)

- The Cobbers have four wrestlers earn a spot in the NCAA National Meet in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Mar. 5-6.
- Ben Anderson (Jr., Frazee, Minn.) earned an at-large bid at 141 after finishing
- Justin Berns (Jr., Perham, Minn.) finished second at 149 and in the process won his 100th career match at Concordia. He becomes only the seventh wrestler in school history to achieve that milestone.
- Ross Dankers (Jr., Cambridge, Minn.) was the surprise of the meet for CC as he placed second at 174. His
- Phil Moenkedick (Jr., Perham, Minn.) won his third consecutive regional championship by going 4-0 and capturing the title at 184.
Men's Tennis (3-3/0-1 MIAC - beat Webber Int. 7-2/beat Siena 5-4)
- Concordia started their annual spring break trip by claiming a pair of wins. The Cobbers beat Webber International 5-4 on Monday then came back to edge Siena 5-4 on Tuesday. CC has now won three straight and is 3-3 on the year.
- Concordia freshmen Brian Olson (West Fargo, N.D.) and Devin Larson (Baxter, Minn./Brainerd HS) have found their collegiate stride. The pair has each won their last three singles matches. They have also helped CC win three straight with their doubles play. The two were paired together for the first time against Northwestern and have won three straight doubles bouts.
Women's Tennis (1-1/0-0 MIAC - lost to Webber Int. 5-4)
- Concordia dropped their first match in Florida on their annual spring break trip to the south campus in Orlando. The Cobbers were edged by Webber International 5-4 on Monday. The loss is the first of the year for Concordia.
- Cobber senior Amy Freeman (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley HS) is one of three Cobber players that are undefeated in singles play this season. Freeman won 6-2, 6-2 as the No.3 singles player against Webber Int. and is now 2-0. She has yet to lose a set this season.
Fastpitch Softball (0-2/0-0 MIAC - lost to Davenport 8-0 and 14-0)
- Concordia lost their first two games of the season on Monday. The Cobbers lost 8-0 and 14-0 to Davenport (Mich.) in the opening doubleheader of their annual spring trip to Florida. Concordia will play nine games at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla.
- Cobber junior Nicolle Diekman (Monticello, Minn.) had two of the three hits the Cobbers collected in their season-opening doubleheader against Davenport on Monday. Diekman was 2-for-4 on the day and had three assists and two putouts at second base.
