Women's Swimming & Diving
- Concordia senior diver Lauren Trudeau (Stillwater, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) posted a score of 400.05 in the 1-mete diving event at the Cobbers’ double-dual meet with Augsburg and UM-Morris on Saturday. That mark is an 11-dive national qualifying score and is currently the top score in the MIAC this season. If she can post another national qualifying score during the season she would then be eligible for the NCAA National Meet.
Men's Basketball (4-3/1-2 MIAC - lost at #3 St. Thomas 73-55/
lost at Gustavus 57-54/beat Carleton 55-48)
- Concordia beat Carleton 55-48 on Monday to snap a three-game losing streak. The win also ended a four-game skid at the hands of the Knights. Cobber
- Cobber junior Darrin Olmscheid (Buffalo, Minn.) led the team in scoring against St. Thomas and Gustavus. Olmscheid averaged 20.0 points in the two games. He currently leads the team in scoring with a 13.3 points per game average.
Women's Basketball (3-3/2-1 MIAC - won at St. Thomas 63-45/
lost at Gustavus 66-61/beat Carleton 77-47)
- Concordia junior women’s basketball player Maggie Bauernfeind (Rosemount, Minn.) has scored in double figures in all six of the Cobbers’ games this season. She currently leads the team in scoring with a 15.7 points per game average and is tied for fourth in the league in that category.
- Concordia is currently second in the MIAC in scoring defense in overall games. The Cobbers are holding opponents to 61.2 points per game. In two of the past three games CC has held their conference opponent to under 50 points.
Men's Hockey (3-8-2/2-2-2 MIAC - beat Bethel 4-1/lost to Bethel 2-1 OT)
- The Cobbers are currently 2-2-2 in MIAC play and in fourth place in the league standings. The two wins are the most conference victories before the Christmas break since the 2002-03 season – the last time the Cobbers made the MIAC playoffs.
- Concordia is currently second in the MIAC in scoring defense in conference games. The Cobbers have only allowed 13 goals in their first six MIAC games. Freshman goalie Jacob Vatnsdal (Roseau, Minn.) is third in the league in save percentage (93.2%) and fifth in goals against average (2.09).
Women's Hockey (5-4-0/2-2-0 MIAC - lost at Bethel 3-2/won at Bethel 2-1)
- Concordia split its weekend series at Bethel and is now 2-2-0 in MIAC play. The Cobbers are tied for the conference lead in goals score in overall games this season. CC has scored 29 goals in their first nine games of the year.
Cobber freshman goalie Desiree Goret (Rosemount, Minn.) has won both of her starts this season. She allowed a single goal in the team's 2-1 win at Bethel on Saturday. Goret has a 1.29 goals against average this season and has a 95.9 save percentage.
W. Swimming & Diving (beat Augsburg 196-29 & UM-Morris 155-85)

- Cobber sophomore Adva Aharonovich (Kiryat-Bialik, Israel) had her best meet of the season in the team's double dual with Augsburg and UM-Morris. She recorded a career-best time of 2:41.91 in the 200-yard IM and then had a season-best mark of 1:13.02 in the 100-yard backstroke.
Wrestling (6-0 - Competed at the MSU Dragon Invite)
National Ranking - 8th in the latest Brute/Adidas National Poll
- No.8-ranked Concordia returned to action after a two-week break for the Thanksgiving Holiday and went across 8th Street to compete in the annual Dragon Open. The meet featured two divisions - one for upperclassmen and one for freshmen and sophomores and it was the Cobber first-year wrestlers that stole the show. The CC freshmen posted five top 3 results and had three athletes wrestle in the championship match in their weight class. Nate Schmitz (Perham, Minn.) went 4-0 at earned the title at 197.
- Cobber senior Lane Lunde (West Fargo, N.D.) went 4-1 at 165 at the Dragon Open and finished third in the weight class. His only loss was against NCAA Division I opponent Tyler Johnson of NDSU. Lunde lost a close 6-3 decision to Johnson in the semifinals and Johnson went on to win the weight class and claim his third championship of the season. Lunde is now 16-4 on the year and leads the team in wins.
