Football
- Concordia senior offensive tackle John M. Anderson (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team for the third straight season. He was one of six Cobbers to earn league postseason honors. Anderson will now compete in the D-III Football Senior Classic on Dec. 5 in Salem, Va. The game will feature 90 seniors from NCAA Division IIII teams and will be played on the same field as the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl – the NCAA Division III championship game.


Football (5-5/3-5 MIAC)

Men's Basketball (3-1 - lost at Central (Iowa) 85-64)

- Concordia lost at Central College (Iowa) 85-64 on Saturday. The loss snapped the Cobbers' three-game winning streak to start the season. In the game against the Dutch, CC junior John Fraase (Bismarck, N.D.) had 21 points and 12 rebounds to post his second straight double-double of the season.

- The Cobbers open MIAC play on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 9 p.m. against St. Thomas at Concordia-St. Paul due to the construction on the St. Thomas campus. The Cobbers were selected seventh in the annual MIAC Preseason Coaches Poll.


Women's Basketball (1-2 - Did Not Play)

- The Cobbers open MIAC play on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. against St. Thomas at Concordia-St. Paul due to the construction on the St. Thomas campus. The Cobbers were selected third in the annual MIAC Preseason Coaches Poll.


Men's Hockey (2-7-2/1-1-2 MIAC - lost to Buffalo St. 3-1/lost at Adrian 3-1)

- Concordia freshman goalie Jacob Vatnsdal (Roseau, Minn.) made 46 saves in the Cobbers' 3-1 loss at No.5-ranked Adrian on Saturday. The 46 saves is the most since Mike Persson (Jr., Regina, Sask.) stopped 55 shots against Gustavus on Feb. 22, 2008.

- Cobbers freshman Pat Deitz (Moorhead, Minn.) is second on the team in scoring with five goals and six assists for 11 points on the year. He currently leads the MIAC in scoring by a freshman.

- Concordia hosts Bethel on Friday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. The Cobbers have a chance to move into first place with a sweep over the Royals. BU currently leads the MIAC with a 3-1-0 record.


Women's Hockey (4-3-0/1-1-0 MIAC - Did Not Play)

- Cobber junior forward Emily Sell (Williston, N.D.) has seven goals and three assists for 10 points on the year and currently leads the MIAC in scoring.

- Concordia returns to MIAC action this weekend when they play at Bethel on Friday and Saturday. The Cobbers are 1-1 in conference play and in a tie for fifth place in the league standings.


W. Swimming & Diving (Did Not Compete)

- Concordia hosts their final home meet of the season when they square off against Augsburg and UM-Morris in a double dual meet on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. The Cobbers are coming off a second-place at the Macalester Invite on Nov. 21.


Wrestling (6-0 - Did Not Compete)

National Ranking - 8th in the latest Brute/Adidas National Poll

- No.8-ranked Concordia returns to action after a two-week break when they compete at the MSU Moorhead Invite on Saturday, Dec. 5 starting at 9 a.m. The Dragon Invite will feature several top tier teams from around the region including full teams from nationally-ranked conference rival Augsburg and Division II power St. Cloud State.

- Cobber junior Phil Moenkedick (Perham, Minn.) is currently ranked #1 in the nation at 184. He is 11-0 on the season and has won five matches by pin fall.
