Women's Soccer
- Concordia junior Sam Johnson (Fargo, N.D./Fargo North HS) finished the regular season with 20 goals and three assists for 43 points. She led the MIAC in goals and points scored and scored at least one goal in 10 consecutive games. Johnson was also one of two Cobber players named to the prestigious ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team. Johnson currently has 92 career points and is on the verge of becoming the fourth player in program history to achieve the historic 100-point milestone.
Football (4-4/2-4 MIAC - beat St. Olaf 17-14)
- Cobber senior running back Andrew Larson (Fergus Falls, Minn.) rushed for one TD and caught another as he accounted for both Concordia TD's in the team's 17-14 win over St. Olaf on Saturday. Larson finished with game highs in rushing and receiving yards. He recorded 58 rushing yards and caught five passes for 94 yards.

Concordia junior defensive back Zach Debeltz (Anoka, Minn.) intercepted a pass in the Cobbers' win over St. Olaf. He also finished with a game-high 11 tackles and 1.0 tackles for a loss. Debeltz now has six interceptions on the year and is tied for the league lead in that category. The Concordia school record for interceptions in a single season is eight held by Todd Twete (1989) and Jordan Talge (2004).
Volleyball (14-9/6-5 MIAC - lost at St. Ben's 3-0/beat Augsburg 3-0)
- Concordia earned their ninth consecutive MIAC playoff spot last week. The Cobbers have won three MIAC playoff championships in the past seven years. CC started the conference postseason by beating Augsburg 3-0. The match featured the return to the lineup of Jenna Green (So., Dilworth, Minn.) and Leslie Olson (Fargo, N.D.) who had both been out for a pair of weeks due to injuries.
- Green had 113 kills and had a 3.53 kills per game average in the MIAC this year. Her kills per game average was third best in the conference. She was also ninth in the league in digs per game (4.06/game). Green had double-digit kill totals in all league games and had a conference-high 21 kills against Macalester on Sept. 29. She also had double-digit dig totals in six of the seven MIAC matches and had a career-high 33 digs against Augsburg on Oct. 15 - the last regular season match she was able to play in.
Men's Soccer (11-6-1/6-3-1 MIAC - beat St. John's 4-0)
- Concordia did not allow a goal in the last eight games of the season. It is a streak that covers 758:39 and is the third longest steak in MIAC men’s soccer history. The Cobbers also went unbeaten in their last 10 games to finish the season with an 11-6-1 record. The 11 overall wins is the most for the Cobbers since the 2001 season.
- The Cobbers beat St. John's 4-0 on Saturday. It was the first win over the Johnnies since the 2001 season.
Concordia senior Mads Schmidt (Rodding, Denmark) broke the school record for most shutouts in a single season. Schmidt blanked St. John's 4-0 and finished the year with nine shutouts which bettered the old mark of eight set by Chad Anderson back in 1996.

The Cobbers finished the MIAC regular season with a record of 10-0-1. It was the first time in program history the team went unbeaten in conference play. CC earned their third MIAC regular season title in the past four seasons.
- Concordia was knocked out of the MIAC playoffs on Tuesday after they tied Carleton 1-1 in double overtime and then lost in the penalty kick shootout. The Cobbers are now 16-0-2 on the year and will have to wait until Monday morning to find out where they will play in the NCAA Tournament. CC is almost a complete shoe-in to receive one of the 21 at-large bids into the national playoffs.
Men's Cross Country (finished 11th at MIAC Championship Meet)
- Concordia capped the MIAC cross country season by finishing 11th at the conference meet in St. Paul on Saturday. The Cobbers, who were suffering through several injuries and bouts with the flu, did not place a runner in the top 50 at the meet but had several runners post solid individual times.
- Concordia was led by a pair of upperclassmen who finished within one second of each other. Paul Lillehaugen (Jr., Moorhead, Minn.) raced to a 28:34.6 and was the top CC finisher for the second straight meet. Senior Mike Reponen (Sr., Baxter, Minn.) was only .02 behind as he posted a time of 28:34.8 and finished in 65th place. The two paced each other throughout the meet and helped each other post their career best conference meet times. It is the first time each runner broke the 29-minute barrier at the year-end conference meet.
Women's Cross Country (finished 9th at MIAC Championship Meet)
- Concordia used a pack-like mentality and finished ninth at the MIAC Championship Meet in St. Paul on Saturday. All seven of the Cobber runners finished within one minute of each other and the top five CC athletes posted times within 48 seconds of one another. It marks the second straight season that Concordia has finished ninth at the conference meet.
- Hailey Brenden (Jr., Rothsay, Minn.) led the Cobbers as she recorded a time of 24:15.9 and was seven seconds behind the final finisher for All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.
Men's Hockey (0-2-0 - lost to St. Olaf 5-2/lost to Hamline 2-1)
- Concordia freshman forward Pat Deitz (Moorhead, Minn.) scored all three goals for the Cobbers' in the two games at the season-opening MIAC Showcase over the weekend. Deitz had a pair of goals on Saturday against St. Olaf and then notched a goal :22 seconds into the game on Sunday against Hamline.
- Concordia will play at a pair of nationally ranked NCHA teams this weekend. The Cobbers will play at No.4-ranked UW-Superior on Friday at 7 p.m. CC will then play at No.13-ranked St. Scholastica on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Women's Hockey (0-0-0)
- Concordia opens the 2009-10 season with a trio of games over the weekend. The Cobbers will play a two-game series at Marian (Wis.) on Friday and Saturday and then face UW-Stevens Point on Sunday.

- Concordia opens the 2009-10 season by taking part in the Lakeland (Ill.) Duals on Saturday/ The meet is the first of three multiple-team dual meets for the season for CC. The Cobbers start the season by being ranked eighth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Brute - Adidas preseason poll.
