Women's Soccer
- The Cobbers beat St. Thomas 3-2 on Tuesday to win their third MIAC regular season championship in the past four seasons.
In the past four seasons CC has compiled an overall conference mark of 32-5-6 which is the best of any team in the MIAC. Concordia is now 15-0-1 and one of only four unbeaten teams left in NCAA Division III soccer.
Football (3-4/1-4 MIAC - beat Hamline 41-21)
- Concordia snapped a four-game losing streak by beating Hamline 41-21 on Saturday. In the game the Cobbers threw for 299 passing yards and attempted 35 passes. In the past two weeks Concordia has attempted 93 passes which is highest back-to-back game total in program history.

In the Cobbers' win over Hamline, senior Jake Krause (Moorhead, Minn.) completed the triumvirate by catching seven passes for 106 yards and one TD. In the past two games, Krause has caught 13 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns. He is currently tied for seventh in the MIAC in receptions per conference game (4.60).
Volleyball (13-8/6-4 MIAC - lost to Gustavus 0-3/beat Hamline 3-0)
- Concordia beat Hamline 3-0 on Wednesday to clinch their ninth consecutive MIAC playoff berth. The Cobbers are now 6-4 in the MIAC and can finish either fourth of fifth in the final regular-season statistics.
- Concordia had their national rankings streak come to an end this week. The Cobbers had been ranked in the top 25 of the nation for 63 consecutive weeks before falling out on Tuesday. CC is now in the "also receiving votes" category.
Men's Soccer (10-6-1/6-3-0 MIAC - beat Simpson 2-0/tied UST 0-0 2OT)
- Concordia is now unbeaten in its last nine games in a streak that dates back to Sept. 23. The nine-game unbeaten streak is the longest in program history. The Cobbers also set another school record by posting their seventh consecutive shutout in a 0-0 double overtime tie at St. Thomas on Tuesday. Concordia is now 10-6-1 on the year marking the first time since 2001 they have posted a double-digit win total.
- The Cobbers could earn their first-ever MIAC playoff appearance with a win on Saturday against St. John's and a win by Augsburg over Gustavus. CC is currently in a tie for fourth place in the league standings and could finish anywhere from second to sixth.
Concordia senior Mads Schmidt (Rodding, Denmark) tied the school record for most shutouts in a single season. Schmidt now has eight shutouts on the year, tying Chad Anderson's mark set back in 1996. Schmidt has lowered his goals against average to 0.81 and is currently third in the MIAC in GAA.

The Cobbers' 15 overall wins is one shy of tying the school's all-time single season mark of 16 set back in 2007. The nine league wins is also one shy of the record of 10 posted back in the 2004 campaign. CC has never gone through the MIAC undefeated.
- Cobber junior Sam Johnson (Fargo, N.D./Fargo North HS) scored a single goal in each game last week. Johnson currently has 19 goals and three assists for 41 points on the season. She leads the MIAC in goals scored and total points and is now 18th in the nation in goals per game and 24th in points per game.
Men's Cross Country (did not compete)
- Concordia
will enter the 2009 MIAC Championship Meet on the heels of their first season win. The Cobbers claimed the overall team championship at the Cobber Invite on Oct. 16. Concordia has also recorded two other top 5 ream finishes in 2009. CC placed third at the NDSU Bison Invite in the opening outing of the year.

- Concordia
enters the MIAC Championship Meet with a chance to finish anywhere in five different team spots. CC enters the conference meet after winning their first multi-team championship since of the season. Concordia won the team title at the Cobber Invite on Oct. 13.

Men's Hockey (0-0-0)
- Concordia starts the 2009-10 season this weekend when they play St. Olaf and Hamline in the newly revamped MIAC Showcase at the Bloomington Ice Gardens. It is the first year for the event and a take off on the Turkey Tourney that was held every year in the 80's and 90's.
