Top Note
Women's Soccer

- Concordia is one of only six unbeaten and untied teams in the 414 schools that make up NCAA Division III women’s soccer. Of those six teams only three other teams have won at least 10 games in the year The Cobbers, who are 11-0-0 on the season, are also ranked 14th in the last week’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll which is the highest the team has ever been ranked in the national poll.


Football (2-2/0-2 MIAC - Did Not Play)
- Concordia returns to action on Saturday when they play at No.15-ranked St. Thomas at 1 p.m. It will be the third ranked opponent for the Cobbers in the team's first five games. Concordia defeated Willamette when they were ranked 8th and then played St. John's when they were ranked 6th.

- Concordia currently leads the league in opponent's third-down conversion rate. The Cobber's first four foes are only converting on 28.3% of their third-down plays. Concordia is also second in the MIAC in number of first downs allowed.


Volleyball (10-5/3-1 MIAC - went 3-1 at MN/IA Border Battle Tournament)

National Ranking - 19th in the latest AVCA National Poll
- Concordia went 3-1 in the annual Minnesota/Iowa Border battle Tournament over the weekend. The Cobbers have now gone 22-2 in the six years the MIAC and IIAC have been holding the tournament. It is the best record of any school in either conference at the tournament.

- Concordia is currently second in the MIAC in hitting percentage. The Cobbers are currently hitting .238 in their four MIAC matches. CC is also third in assists and third in kills.


Men's Soccer (6-6-0/3-3-0 MIAC - beat St. Mary's 4-0/beat UW-Spr 5-0)
- The Concordia-Moorhead men’s soccer team posted a pair of conference wins last weekend over Bethel and St. Mary’s. The Cobbers are now 3-3-0 in MIAC play and have won three straight conference games for the first time since 2001.

- Cobber sophomore Riley McGlynn (Hampstead, N.C.) was named the MIAC Player of the Week. McGlynn scored four goals last week and added two more on Tuesday in the Cobbers' 5-0 win over UW-Superior. He currently leads the MIAC in goals scored with 10.


Women's Soccer (11-0-0/6-0-0 MIAC - beat St. Mary's 4-0/

- Concordia is now 11-0-0 on the year. The 11 wins to start a year ties the Concordia all-school record for best start of a season. The Cobber 2004 football team also started the season 11-0 before losing their 12th game in the second round of the NCAA playoffs.

- Cobber junior Sam Johnson (Hampstead, N.C.) was named the MIAC Player of the Week. McGlynn scored four goals last week and added two more on Tuesday in the Cobbers' 5-0 win over UW-Superior. She currently leads the MIAC in goals scored with 12.


Men's Cross Country  (finished 4th at the Jamestown Invite)
-  Concordia had 11 runners finish with a time under 30:00 at the Jamestown Invite on Friday. The Cobbers finished fourth at the meet. For the fourth straight meet Concordia was led by freshman Brad McConn (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South) who ran a 27:25.00 and finished in sixth place.

- The Cobbers had three freshmen fill the No.4, No.5 and No.6 spots at the Jamestown Invite. The trio of Adam Mousel (Fr., Northfield, Minn.), Zach Davis (Fr., Dickinson, ND) and Ben Jacobson (Fr., Pierre/TF Riggs HS, SD) packed up to run 28:58, 29:07, 29:13 respectively.


Women's Cross Country  (finished 2nd at the Jamestown Invite)
- Concordia placed four runners in the top four at the Jamestown Invite and finished second. The Cobbers also had eight harriers finish in the top 20 as they produced their highest finish of the season. Concordia junior Hailey Brenden (Rothsay, Minn.) returned to action and placed fourth to lead CC. Brenden posted a time of 19:49.00 in her first meet in two weeks.

- Concordia freshman Elisabeth Hanson (Moorhead, Minn.) was close behind Brenden at the Jamestown Invite. She was the only other Cobber athlete under the 20-minute mark as she ran a 19:58.000 and finished in fifth place.


Men's Golf  (finished 4th at the MIAC Championship Meet)
- Concordia finished fourth at the recently completed MIAC Championship Meet. The Cobbers improved everyday and had a team total of 919 (311-307-301). The fourth-place finish is the highest for the Cobbers since the 2005 season when they tied for fourth place.

- The Cobbers were led by freshman Andrew Whitchurch (Litchfield, Minn.) at the MIAC Meet. Whitchurch shot a 76-76-73=225 and finished in sixth place to earn All-Conference honors. Sophomore Pat Deitz (Moorhead, Minn.) finished in eighth place and also earned MIAC All-Conference honors.


Women's Golf (finished 6th at the MIAC Championship Meet)
- For the second straight season Concordia finished sixth at the MIAC Championship Meet. The Cobbers shot a three-day team total of 1072 (360-365-347). The third round score of 347 is the lowest for the Cobbers since the 2007 conference meet.

- Concordia was led by junior Hilary Vokovan (Coon Rapids, Minn.) who shot an 86-89-84=259 and finished in a tie for 13th place. She was only seven strokes away from all-conference honors. The lowest round by a Cobber at the championship meet was turned in by Suzi Maanum (Sr., Hancock, Minn.) who shot an 83 in the third round.
