Concordia center midfielder Darcy Swagger has helped the Cobbers jump to fourth in the latest NSCAA Central Region rankings.

 
Cobbs Move To 4th In Region!!

MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/17/06)-- Concordia jumped one spot and is now ranked fourth in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Central Region poll. The Cobbers are in a tie with Macalester in the latest rankings.

The No.4-ranking is the highest in program history. The Cobbers have now been ranked in the top ten in the Central Region for seven consecutive weeks.

Concordia also received votes in the NSCAA national poll which is the first time in program history that they have appeared on the national scene. The Cobbers received enough votes to be the top team in the  "also recieving votes" category.

Concordia is currently leading the MIAC standings with two games remaining in league play. The Cobbers are undefeated in the MIAC with a 7-0-2 and have only allowed two goals in conference play.

Overall, Concordia is 10-2-2 with their only two losses coming at the hands of teams ranked in the top eight of the nation. The 10 wins marks the fourth consecutive season they have reached the 10-win plateau.

Concordia will play at the University of Chicago on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. The Maroons are currently ranked sixth in the latest Central Region poll.
