Match Stats: Final Stats vs. #25 UC-Santa Cruz

Key Point of the Game: The Cobbers were greeted by the left coast with 100-degree temperatures. The effect of the warm weather and Concordia's unfamiliarity with the surface of Bermuda grass led to an uphill battle from the onset. It also didn't help that the Cobbers were playing a tough UC-Santa Cruz team that was ranked No. 25 in the NSCAA preseason poll and had two games under their belts already.

The Quote: "The heat and surface took a lot out of our players. I though once we go used to the quick playing field we did very well." Cobber head coach Dan Weiler.
The Leader: Concordia junior goalkeeper Ashley Liegakos made her first start in goal for Concordia after missing all of the 2005 season with a knee injury. Liegakos made eight saves in the losing effort.
