Complete NSCAA/adidas All-Central Region Team

MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/04/06)--Concordia senior women’s soccer players Morgan Bain (Hugo, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) and Amy Ravenhorst (Hollandale, Minn./Albert Lea HS) were named to the NSCAA/adidas All-Central Region Team on Monday.

Bain was named to the All-Region Second Team and Ravenhorst was placed on the All-Region Third Team. Bain becomes the first player in school history to earn three consecutive All-Region honors. She was a second team All-Region player in 2005 and made the third team in 2005. For Ravenhorst it is her first All-Region award.

The award for Bain finishes her storied career as a Cobber. Last month she was named the MIAC MVP for the second time in the past three seasons - becoming only the third player in league history to accomplish that feat. In 2004 she broke the league's single-season point and goal records. In 2006, she led the league in shots and shots per game in MIAC games. She was also tied for third in game-winning goals and tied for fourth in overall goals.

Bain had nine goals and two assists in 2006 and finished her career with a school-record 59 goals. She also completed her four years by finishing second on the school's all-time scoring list with 134 career points.

Ravenhorst receives her first regional award after being honored with three straight MIAC All-Conference awards. She finished second on the team in scoring from her position as a wing midfielder. She scored several crucial goals for the Cobbers in 2006 including the game-tying goal in the conference playoff championship game against Carleton that sent the game into overtime where Concordia eventually won in a penalty kick shootout. Ravenhorst finished the year with five goals and three assists for 13 points.
