Marv Roeske
took over the Concordia women's cross country program in June of 1999. Before that time he had been the Cobber women's track and field head coach since the fall of 1995.

He led the 2000 cross country team to a second place in the MIAC, and a fifth place finish at the NCAA Central Region meet which qualified the team for the NCAA National Meet. It was only the second time in school history that the women's cross country team qualified for the national meet. He was voted the MIAC women's cross country Coach of the Year for the 2000 season.

He led the track program to MIAC Indoor Championships in 1998 and 1999 and MIAC Outdoor Championships in 1999 and 2004. He was voted the 2004 Central Region Outdoor Coach of the Year and also the 1998 Central Region Indoor Coach of the Year by the USTCA. In addition he has also been named the MIAC Women's Outdoor track and Field Coach of the Year in 2004 and the MIAC Women's Track and Field Coach of the Year in 1998 and 1999.

Roeske has also had success at the high school level. He was head coach at Tolna (ND) high school and was an assistant at Jamestown (ND) high school. His teams won 23 high school meet team titles and 15 conference titles. During that time he coached 19 state meet qualifiers,
five state meet placers, six regional champions and two state individual champions - one in the 100 meter hurdles and one in the javelin.

Roeske graduated from Jamestown College in May 1985 with majors in history and political science and minors in business administration, secondary education and his coaching certificate.

Roeske lives in Fargo with his wife Lisa, who is an elementary school teacher. They have two daughters, Quinn and Leah.
