Courtesy of GoCobbers.com, Release: October 3, 2008 Meet Recap JAMESTOWN, N.D. (10/03/08)-- Concordia continued to get stronger as a team as they prepare for the upcoming MIAC Championship Meet. On Friday the Cobbers placed eight runners in the top 15 at the Jimmie Invitational and placed second as a team. The Cobbers were once again led by sophomore Hailey Brenden who ran a 19:14.00 and finished in second place. It is the fourth time in the past five meets that Brenden has posted a top four individual finish. It is also the second time in the past three meets she has recorded a runner-up finish. Joining Brenden in the top 10 were Brittney Christianson, Anna Hagen and Rachel Pedersen. Christianson was less than a minute behind Brenden and placed sixth in a time of 20:09.00. Hagen claimed eighth place in a time of 20:30.00 and Pedersen ran a 20:34.00 and finished ninth. For Hagen it was the first top 10 finish of the season. There was a quartet of CC runners who all paced each other and finished consecutively from 12th through 15th place. McKayla Patterson led the foursome with a time of 21:01.00. She was followed by Jamie Levine (21:03.00), Kristy Singlestad (21:07.00) and Caroline McLaughlin (21:08.00). Concordia will host the Homecoming Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 9 a.m. and then return to competitive action when they compete in the Crown College Invite on Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. Team Results 1.
