Meet Recap

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (9/19/08)-- Concordia traveled north to Grand Forks to compete in the Ron Pynn Invite hosted by UND on Friday. Cobber sophomore Hailey Brenden continued her stellar sophomore season as she ran a 19:06 and finished second in the individual race.

As a team, the Cobbers had two runners in the top 20 and finished in fifth place. CC finished with 94 points and was less than 25 points behind co-runners-up Jamestown ans the University of Manitoba. UND won the team competition with a total of 33 points.

Brenden posted her third straight top four finish of the season. Her time of 19:06 was less than 20 seconds behind Brittany Brenny of UND who ran an 18:42.

The only other CC runner to finish in the top 20 was senior Brittney Christianson who posted a time of 20:12 and claimed 17th place. The Cobbers also had three runners finish from 22 through 27 as they completed their third meet of the season.

Concordia will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul.
