Complete MSU Moorhead Dual Meet Results

MOORHEAD, Minn. (8/29/08)-- Concordia opened the 2008 season by heading to Johnson Park in Moorhead to compete against NCAA Division II opponent MSU Moorhead on Friday. The Cobbers fell 45-18 to the Dragons and used the meet to tune up for their upcoming multi-team meets.

The story of the day for Concordia was sophomore Hailey Brenden who finished third in the overall standings with a time of 15:32.4. Brenden's finish kept the Dragons from sweeping the top 10 spots in the race. She also showed the form that earned her All-Conference and All-Region honors as a freshman in 2007.

After Brenden's third-place finish, the Cobbers were led by Brittney Christianson who completed the course in 16:14.4. She was one of six Concordia runners to all post a time of under 17 minutes.

The Cobbers will have a two-week break before returning to competition at the Black Hills Invite in Spearfish, S.D. on Sept. 13.
