MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/07/08)-- Concordia senior defensive standout Anna Tinkham (Fisher, Minn.) was named the MIAC Setter/Libero of the Week it was announced on Tuesday by the league office.

It marks the second time this season that Tinkham has earned the conference weekly honor. She also earned the award on Sept. 15.

Tinkham was instrumental in Concordia winning two crucial MIAC matches this week. She helped the Cobbers edge St. Olaf 3-2 in a back-and-forth struggle on Friday night and less than 24 hours later helped CC sweep St. Mary's 3-0 on Saturday.

For the two matches she recorded 61 digs (7.625/set) and had four service aces. Her outstanding leadership in helping the young Concordia squad was another decisive factor in the victories.

Tinkham is currently on pace to break the all-time dig record at Concordia this year - a mark she set last season as a junior.

In the Cobbers' 25-18, 19-25, 25-17, 21-25, 15-13 win over St. Olaf on Friday, Tinkham had a match-high 31 digs. That was a season high and marked the eighth time in her career that she has recorded at least 30 digs in a match. She backed up that performance with a 30-dig feat in Concordia's 25-21, 25-22, 25-23 win over St. Mary's on Saturday.

Tinkham now has 244 digs on the season and ranks third in the MIAC in digs in conference matches.
