MOORHEAD, Minn.-- For the first time in school history, the Concordia volleyball team has cracked the top ten in the CSTV/AVCA Division III national poll. After spending a pair of weeks at the #12 spot, the Cobbers moved up to 10th in the latest poll.

The ranking represents the highest a Cobber volleyball team has ever been ranked in program history.

Overall, the Cobbers have been in the top 25 of the nation in all seven polls in 2005 and have been nationally ranked for the past 18 weeks of the CSTV/AVCA Division III poll. That streak is the longest in program history and is the second-longest in MIAC history, trailing St. Thomas' streak of 24 consecutive weeks in the poll from midway through the 2002 season to the 2004 preseason poll.

Concordia is the highest ranked team in the conference. Overall there are four teams from the MIAC ranked in the top 25. Carleton is ranked 12th, St. Thomas is 13th and St. Ben's is 21st.

The Cobbers will finish the regualr season when they play at St. Ben's on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7:00pm.
