MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/28/09)-- Concordia swept Hamline 25-19, 25-17, 25-16 to get back in the thick of the MIAC playoff hunt. The Cobbers are now 6-4 in league play and in a tie with Augsburg for fourth place. CC is now one of four teams fighting for the final three conference tournament spots.

The tightest game of the night came in the third, and final, game when the Pipers stayed tight at 12-12 but then CC ran off six straight points and took an 18-12 lead. From there Concordia would win seven of the final 11 points to win 25-16.

For the match, Concordia hit .210 and held the Pipers to a .000 attack percentage.

The Cobbers were led by the frontline tandem of Ashley Beseman and Katie Vohnoutka. Beseman had 10 kills and a match-high six blocks while Vohnoutka came away with a match-high 15 kills and 11 digs.
