| MATCH RECAP:
MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/04/08)--For the second time in the past four seasons Concordia finished in fourth place in the MIAC regular season standings and then lost to fifth-seeded St. Olaf at home in the quarterfinals of the MIAC playoffs. On Tuesday the Cobbers stumbled out of the gate, dropping the first two sets against the Oles, had to rally to win the next two but in the end fell in the fifth set. The loss puts Concordia's NCAA Tournament aspirations on hold as they will have to wait until Sunday to see if they receive an at-large bid.
CC is now 20-5 on the season. St. Olaf pulls off the upset and moves to 21-11 on the year.

outside hitter Kim Smisek and the error-prone Concordia offensive attack. Smisek finished with a match-high 21 kills. It marked the fifth time this season she has had at least 20 kills in a match. As a team the Cobbers had 35 attack errors and hit .148 for the match. St. Olaf had only 17 hitting errors and finished with a kill percentage of .213.
