Complete List of MIAC All-Conference Awards MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/06/08)-- Three Concordia players earned MIAC postseason honors it was announced by the league office on Thursday. Seniors Abby Scheel and Anna Tinkham were named to the MIAC All-Conference Team while freshman Jenna Green (Dilworth, Minn./Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton HS) was named the MIAC Rookie of the Year. Tinkham was also named as the team's representative to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team. It is the second consecutive year for Scheel and Tinkham to receive conference postseason honors. Last season Scheel was also named to the MIAC All-Conference Team and Tinkham was named as the Tri-Defensive Player of the Year. The trio helped Concordia to an 8-3 record in the MIAC and a fourth-place finish in the league standings. Concordia also won 20 overall matches during the season, marking the sixth time in the past seven seasons that CC has won at least 20 matches in a season. The Cobbers were also ranked in the top 25 of the nation for the entire season. Scheel led the team in blocks and third in kills in both overall and conference matches. She had 147 kills in the team's 25 matches and 65 winners in conference play. Scheel also had 72 total blocks on the year and 27 in the 11 MIAC matches. Scheel was sixth in the MIAC in attack percentage in conference matches, hitting .263. She was also eighth in blocks (0.92). Tinkham was named the MIAC Setter/Defensive Player of the Week on two occasions in 2008. She led the team in digs and was fourth in the MIAC in that statistical category. She had 236 digs in league matches and 468 total digs for the entire season. Tinkham was also fourth in the MIAC in service aces (0.44/set). During the year Tinkham broke the school record for digs in a career. The old record was 1,067 and Tinkham now has 1,232 for her career. Green led the team in kills, was second in digs and third in blocks. She has 257 kills in her first collegiate season as well as 313 digs and 38 blocks. In conference play she finished with 111 kills, 172 digs and 17 blocks. Green was named the MIAC Hitter of the Week on Oct. 13.
