ST. PAUL, Minn. (9/19/07)--In a battle of the two heavyweights in MIAC volleyball, No.11-ranked Concordia was never able to find a groove and fell to No.6-ranked St. Thomas 3-1 (30-18, 24-30, 30-28, 30-17) in St. Paul on Wednesday.

With the match tied at 1-1, St. Thomas was able to claim the pivotal third game by pulling away from Concordia at the very end of the game to win by two at 30-28. Deflated by their second-game loss, the Cobbers were never able to mount any type of surge in the fourth game, hit a mere .064, and lost 30-17.
