Senior goalie Mads Schmidt capped his stellar career by being named to the NSCAA All-Region Team.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/15/09)-- Concordia senior goalie Mads Schmidt (Rodding, Denmark) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region North Team. Schmidt becomes the first Cobber All-Region honoree since 1998.

The award caps a stellar career for Schmidt. He was the team's starting goalie for four seasons. He had his best season in 2009 as he set a school record for shutouts and posted the second best goals against average in program history. Schmidt finished the season by recording eight consecutive shutouts and had a total of 10 for the year. He also had a career-best 0.77 GAA for the season.

Schmidt played every minute of every game for the Cobbers and finished his career by playing in a total of 43 games and posted 17 shutouts.
