Before taking over as head coach of the women's team, he had been an assistant coach for both the men's and women's soccer programs at Concordia from 1999-2001. In his second season as head women's coach in 2003, Weiler guided the team to a berth in the MIAC tournament. Following the team's breakthrough season, he was named the MIAC Coach of the Year. Weiler, a Fargo native, was the head girls' soccer coach at Fargo South High School from 1999-2004. In 1999 he guided the Bruins to the North Dakota State Championship and was also named the North Dakota Coach of the Year. In 2002, he was named a finalist for the national girl's high school coach of the year. Weiler holds a Brazilian (BRUSA) "B" coaching license and a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "B" license. Weiler earned his bachelor's degree from Moorhead State University in 1996. He currently lives in Moorhead. |
