Fargo, N.D.-- Less than a week after shooting a season-best 303 at the Bemidji State Invite, Concordia did that three better by firing a 300 in the first round of the Erv Kaiser Invitational held at Oxbow Country Club in Fargo, N.D.

The Cobbers are currently in sixth place after the opening round, 15 shots behind team leader North Dakota State who fired a blistering 285 in day 1.

Individually, Concordia is led by sophomore Drew Dvorak. Dvorak carded a 72 (36-36) and is tied for seventh. The only other Cobber golfer in the top 20 is Mike Lundberg who shot a 74 (39-35) and is tied for 16th.

The Concordia gold team had four of the five players shoot in the 70's. After Dvorak and Lundberg come Sam Frick (76) and Josh Jones (78).

The Cobbers also had a second team in the meet. The Concordia maroon team struggled in the opener and came in with a 333.

A week after winning the Concordia Invitational, Cobber sophomore Josh Wahlin limped home with an 84.

Play in the Erv Kaiser Invitational will continue tomorrow at the Village Green GC in Moorhead. The tournament will conclude on Sunday at the Fargo Country Club.
