ST. PAUL, Minn.(09/20/06)-- Concordia junior golfer Drew Dvorak (Litchfield, Minn.) was named the MIAC Men's Golfer of the Week it was announced by the MIAC conference office on Wednesday.

It is the third time in his career that he has won the award.

Dvorak finished second at the Erv Kaiser Invitational last weekend in a tournament that featured over 13 teams and 70 golfers. Dvorak's three-round total of  221 (74-74-73) was only three shots behind medalist Eric Johnson from NCAA Division I institution North Dakota State University.

In his three tournaments this fall, Dvorak has finished in the top five in two and helped the Cobbers fire a sub-600, three-round total in the third.

Concordia will compete at the UND Invitational this weekend before taking part in the MIAC Conference Championship on Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn.
