MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/18/06)--Concordia senior men's golfer Drew Dvorak (Litchfield, Minn.) was named the MIAC Men's Golfer of the Week it was announced by the league office on Tuesday. Dvorak earns the award for his outstanding performance at the St. John's Invite this past weekend. It is the fourth time in his career that he has won the weekly award. He has now won the honor in each of his four seasons at Concordia.

Dvorak fired rounds of 76 and 73 at the SJU Invite to finish in sole possession of second place. He was the highest NCAA Division III finisher and highest finisher among the nine other MIAC schools represented at the tournament. The runner-up finish is the highest for Dvorak in a multi-round event since he won the Carleton Invite in 2005.

Dvorak has now played five rounds this season and is averaging 74.2 strokes per round. He currently leads the MIAC in scoring per round.

He is seeking to become one of only a handful of players in the MIAC that have earned All-Conference honors in all four years.
