MIAC Meet Individual Results

ST. PAUL, Minn.-- One of the brightest young runners in the conference continued to improve over the course of his sophomore season. Concordia's Matt Putratz ran a 27:36.20 and finished 34th at the MIAC Championship Meet held at Como Park Golf Course.

Putratz was in 96th place after 1.5 miles and methodically climbed his way back into the top 35. His gutsy performance helped him shave off over two minutes and 29 places from 2004. Last year Putratz ran a 29:44.0 and finished 63rd.

The final six members of the Cobber team could have had a blanket thrown around them at the finish. The next six Concordia runners were slotted into places 57th through 64th.

Brandon Huether was the top finisher among the six. He placed 57th in a time of 28:46.65. Aaron Korf placed 60th with a time of 29:26.00. It is the highest team finish for Korf this season.

After Korf, Jason Callander finished 61st with a mark of 29:36.00. Rocky Jantzen was 62nd less than three seconds behind Callander. Alex Berg and Dan Bye finished off the Cobber team. Berg was 63rd in a time of 29:59.15 and Bye was 64th with a finishing time of 30:27.95.
