NCAA First Round Playoff Menu: - NCAA Official Playoff Announcement - Campus Map MOORHEAD, Minn.-- Concordia will host Coe College (Iowa) in the first round of the NCAA Division III West Region playoffs on Saturday, Nov. 19 at noon at Jake Christiansen Stadium. Ticket prices for the game will be $10 for adults and $5 for students. All tickets are general admission. You can contact the Concordia athletic office at 218-299-4434 for advance ticket sales. Football tickets go on sale and the gates open at 11:00am for the noon kickoff. The stadium has a seating capacity of 7,000 and has ample room for standing. There has never been a sellout. The Cobbers (9-1/7-1 MIAC) finished second in the MIAC and earned one of the seven, "Pool C" at-large bids into the tournament. They are making their second consecutive appearance to the NCAA playoffs. It is the first time in the history of the program that Concordia has posted back-to-back playoff appearances. Last year they beat Iowa Conference Champion Wartburg in the first round, before losing to Occidental (Calif.) in the second round. The Cobbers are making their sixth appearance in the NCAA playoffs and 10th total postseason appearance. Concordia made it to the semifinals of the NCAA tournament in 1986, and won the NAIA National Championship in 1978 and were co-champions in 1964 and 1981. The Cobbers own a 3-5 overall record in the history of the NCAA playoffs. The Kohawks (9-1, 7-1 IIAC) shared the IIAC title with Central, but earned the automatic bid into the tournament due to their 17-14 win over the Dutch on Sept. 17. Coe is making their first NCAA playoff appearance since the 2002 season when they lost in the second round. It is the fifth total appearance for the Kohawks in the history of the NCAA tournament. They have never made it past the second round in the tournament and have a 1-4 record in their first four tournament appearances.
