In 1964 a group of Fargo-Moorhead businessmen raised funds for a football stadium at Concordia on the condition that it be named the Jake Christiansen Stadium in honor of the outstanding coach who led Cobber football teams to victory with only one losing season in his 28 years.
The stadium was finished in 1966 and has a capacity of 7,000.
In 1983 an eight-lane all-weather track was added for track and field events. The track was completely refinished in 2001 and was the site of the 2003 MIAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet.
