  • Global Fund for Women is an international grantmaking organization which focuses on female human rights. It supports issues as diverse as literacy, domestic violence, economic autonomy, and the international trafficking of women.
  • Amnesty International
  • Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, formally established in 1960, represents all member States of the Organization of American States (OAS).
  • International Centre for Humanitarian Reporting (ICHR) has been created to encourage better reporting of humanitarian, development and related issues and to provide key resources to ensure that coverage is timely and accurate. The ICHR is a nongovernmental organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with associate non-profit representation in the United States.

  • ReliefNet offers a comprehensive listing and description of NGOs and others involved in emergency relief, disaster preparedness, development assistance, and medical assistance. Also included are links to those organizations that have their own web sites.
  • ReliefWeb is a prototype managed by the United Nations Department of Humanitarian Affairs. The purpose of ReliefWeb is to assist the humanitarian community in more effectively preparing and responding to complex emergencies and natural disasters by enhancing information sharing and access to timely and reliable information.
