Supporting studies required for a major are Mathematics 121, 122, 223 (Calculus I-III) and 311 (Differential Equations). Chemistry courses through Chemistry 128 are recommended. Courses in computer science are also strongly recommended. The requirements for the physical science teaching major are described in the Science Teacher Preparation section of the catalog. The requirements for a minor in physics are five course credits: Physics 128, 211, 224, 225 and one course credit at the 300 level or above. Mathematics 121,122 and 223 are required. Physics 111 and 112 may be substituted for 128, 211 provided grades of 3.0 or better are earned in each. A Typical Curriculum for a Physics Major
