MoNA/Sweeper

The MoNA/Sweeper system is designed to detect both neutral and charged reaction products from the rare isotope beams provided by the coupled-cyclotron at the NSCL. Neutrons are detected at zero degrees and charged particles are swept into the Focal Plane detector system by the Sweeper Magnet. The diagram below shows the MoNA/Sweeper system in the N4 vault.
