MoNA, (the Modular Neutron Array), is a large-area high efficiency neutron detector housed at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory, NSCL. The detector was designed and built by a collaboration of 10 colleges and universities in conjunction with the NSCL with support from the National Science Foundation. Much of the construction and testing was done by undergraduates.

The MoNA collaboration continues to support undergraduates as significant participants in data taking and analysis on a vareity of experiments.

You can watch a documentary video about MoNA below (or download the high resolution version here).
