Text Box: The annual Concordia / HFMA Spring Healthcare Institute will be held April 6 - April 7, 2006 at the Ramada Plaza Conference Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
 
Today’s healthcare finance and administration professionals juggle a seemingly endless stream of performance criteria.  Our speakers will be addressing some of these challenges as well as  providing strategic insight toward establishing resources and developing networks.  Medicare, ethics of  disaster triage, the role of the finance officer in rationing and allocation of scare resources, financing needed capital, critical access, enhancing profitability through performance metrics, and building hope into the workplace are among the topics that will be discussed at this year’s Institute.  Register now to take advantage of early registration discounts.

Healthcare Programs
 The Healthcare Management curriculum features a core of business courses and a core of healthcare courses. Students select from a variety of other courses to complete their Healthcare Management core. Certificates can be earned in
Healthcare Administration
Healthcare Finance
Long Term Care Administration
depending upon the courses students elect to take beyond the core courses. We believe the new curriculum will serve students better providing them with more flexibility in selecting areas of study in which to focus while providing them with a broader foundation through the core courses.
A  clinical practicum of 480 hours or 12 weeks in each concentration is required for completion.  In addition, Concordia College offers a Nursing program with a BA  and an MS degree.

 We are pleased to co-sponsor the Spring Healthcare Institute with the North Dakota and Minnesota chapters of the Healthcare Financial Management Associations and the ND American College of Healthcare Executives.  HFMA is composed of individuals with a shared interest in improving the financial management of the delivery of healthcare services and in providing service to its members.  ACHE is the professional membership society for healthcare executives whose focus is on managing hospitals, healthcare systems, and other healthcare organizations.
 
The 2006 Spring Healthcare Institute  has been designed to meet the diverse needs of various healthcare management team members.

Text Box: The Concordia/HFMA Spring Healthcare Institute program has been submitted (but has not yet been approved) for a maximum of 10.5 continuing education clock hours from the MN Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.  Minnesota approval also satisfies the requirements for North Dakota and South Dakota licensures.  A  certificate of clock hours will be provided for each participant who has completed required validation information at the Spring Healthcare Institute.
