Position: Corporate General Accounting Manager

Description:
Provide direction and management to the general
accounting function for MeritCare Health System and its
subsidiaries. This includes internal and external
financial reporting that meets the needs for general
accounting management information as well as external
financial reporting. A Bachelor's degree in accounting
is required. Must have a minimum of eight years
experience in health care accounting or financial
management. Knowledge of health care industry accounting
principles, practices and related laws and regulations
is required, including 990 reporting, cost reporting and
research. CPA or equivalent directly related experience
is required.

MeritCare Health System
Position: Business Operational Coordinator
Location: Fargo, ND
Description:
Provide financial direction and assistance, leadership
and analysis to support aggregate service area plans and
forecasting, the balanced scorecard, and corporate
decision making. This may include, but is not limited
to, business analysis, budget and forecast development
and review, coordination of the aggregate service area
plan, which includes analysis of new services and 5 year
capital expenditures plans, coordination of financial
priorities within operations to include but not limited
to, Industry and Federal Research reporting guidelines,
Internal Audit recommendations in conjunction with GAAP
and FASB and review of current and new business
opportunities, and financial and statistical reporting.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or
Healthcare Administration. Must have at least seven
years experience related to financial reporting and
special project work, preferably in a health care
setting. Must have extensive knowledge of financial
systems and generally accepted accounting principles, a
working knowledge of health care finance and the health
care industry, and a current working knowledge of
trends, regulations and issues in healthcare. Must have
experience providing excellent internal customer service
in a prompt and professional manner and have the ability
to work independently, balancing multiple tasks within
deadlines. Computer skills include a strong working
knowledge of Excel, Crystal (or similar report writer),
knowledge of databases, Word and Power Point. A clinical
background is beneficial in fulfilling the
responsibilities associated with this position. CPA, CMA
or other professional certification is preferred.

Glacial Ridge Health System
Position: Business Office Manager
Location: Glenwood, MN
Description: We are looking for a motivated
and progressive candidate who has a passion for people.
The position's primary responsibilities are to
coordinate and monitor business office functions and to
provide accurate and timely patient revenue cycle data
to the Chief Financial Officer. A qualified
candidate will have experience working in the business
office of a health care facility, a two or four year
degree in an applicable field and great customer service
skills. Experience in managing or supervising
business office staff is a plus.
Glacial Ridge Health System is a growing health care
system based in Glenwood, MN which is less than fifteen
miles south of Alexandria, MN. The system includes
a Critical Access Hospital, a Rural Health Clinic, and
three provider-based satellite clinics. We also
provide ambulance, home health, and hospice services to
our communities. The main campus is located just
across the street from beautiful Lake Minnewaska.

Position: Director of Ancillary Services /
Assistant Administrator
Location: St Peter, MN
Description: This position provides management oversight and
leadership for the smooth and efficient operations of
the Therapy, Laboratory, Imaging and Pharmacy
departments: a) Develop and foster effective
collaboration between departments, medical staff, inside
and outside customers and leadership to ensure an
integrated approach to providing services and fulfilling
the hospitals goals and objectives; b) Assist
department heads in the oversight of workforce and
resource decisions. Maintain interface with
department personnel to ensure there is adequate
resources for patient care needs; c) Investigate
patient/visitor concerns and assist department heads in
implementing appropriate course of action. Make
timely decisions that directly impact patient care;
d) Intervene and problem solve for
inter-/intra-departmental issues. Facilitate
interdepartmental communication, negotiation and
decision making; e) Develop new business and
marketing strategies to enhance market share and improve
overall performance; f) Serve as a resource to
help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effective
utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyze
and utilize information to develop and support
management decisions; g) Lead and oversee the
development of operating, strategic and fiscal planning
for service areas; h) Review, evaluate and
negotiate all contracts for assigned departments.
Experience: a) Knowledge or organization policies, procedures,
systems; b) Demonstrated leadership and complex
organizational management skills; c) An
understanding of how to achieve results in a
multi-discipline setting; d) Developed planning,
marketing, organizational development,
contracting/negotiating and business skills; e)
The ability to work with physicians, staff and
professionals in multiple settings and the ability to
successfully collaborate when multiple views are
presented; f) Negotiation and financial analysis
skills; g) Skill in information systems
capabilities and an appreciation for the data which will
be required to make meaningful management decisions;
h) Demonstrate judgment and self-sufficiency in problem
solving and other barriers in the department.
