a university of the community
for continuing education
F/M Communiversity was lauched in 1965 as an ecumenical outreach of churches and the college to the community. The focus on community issues foreshadowed the evolution of the program toward a broad liberal arts program. Limited initially to the four Sundays in February, the program has expanded to coordinate with the academic calendar and to other venues around the area, though the fullest program is still offered in February.
F/M Communiversity is a university of the community for continuing education. In other words, we provide college courses that appeal to areas of interest in the Liberal Arts and Sciences, Creative Living and Music, and Religion and Theology. These courses are available for those interested in learning for the fun of it. No tests, no papers, no grades--just "brain food".
Over 15 years ago, Communiversity began offering courses off campus at Riverview Place and one can attend a class there from September through April.
We are now offering courses at The Waterford in Fargo and Eventide in Moorhead. The course times vary allowing classes to fit almost any schedule.
