Financial Aid For International Students
Concordia has some scholarships available to international students who show financial need and exemplary achievement in their academic studies as well as leadership and involvement outside of the classroom. These scholarships typically do not exceed one-half the cost of attendance per year and are generally renewed for subsequent years in the same amount.
In addition, students may work on campus, typically earning $1,500 - $2,500 per year. International students are limited by U.S. regulations to working no more than 20 hours per week while school is in session, and from working off campus.
The I-20 form necessary to obtain a visa and enter the United States will be sent only after we receive adequate documentation of support from financial sponsor(s).
All international applicants should complete the International Student Financial Aid and Certification Form; be sure to mark the box on top of page two. This form was mailed to applicable students. If you did not receive this form, please contact the financial aid office.
Current students who wish to continue their aid should complete the Concordia International Student Financial Aid Renewal Form annually.
International students interested in borrowing should consider the many private loans available. Click here to go to the private loans page.
All loan programs for international students require co-signers with good credit records. The co-signer must be a U.S citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
Concordia's cost of attendance typically increases from 5 to 9 percent each year. While we are empathetic about changing financial situations, both personal and international, Concordia is unable to increase the amount of a scholarship award.
Concordia's financial aid does not cover all of your college expenses. Therefore, the major portion of your college costs must come from sources such as family support, personal support, or sponsorship.
