GreeceProgram Objectives

Credo is an opportunity to examine values – their origin, development and significance. The name Credo, which is Latin for “I believe,” reflects the program's emphasis on values.

Credo courses inspire and encourage students to self-motivated and self-reliant learning. Students cultivate and reinforce certain skills needed for successful study and learning in all disciplines, including logical thought, persuasion, argument, analysis, synthesis, written and oral communication, creativity and listening. These skills are developed gradually during the Credo program and enable students to succeed as self-directed learners in any setting.

Credo also builds upon knowledge and skills common to all participating students. Because students take Credo courses together, they have many opportunities to establish connections and relationships among the subjects they study. Class discussions and projects are further enriched by drawing upon related knowledge from other academic disciplines.
