Kirsten Cristina Addison is dean of El Lago del Bosque, the Spanish Language Village, Marine On St. Croix (second half). Addison received her honors bachelor’s degree in Spanish and political science from the University of Western Ontario and studied at the University of Salamanca in Spain and the University of Lisbon in Portugal. She is currently pursuing licensure in Chiropractic Medicine.

Addison has been on staff with Concordia Language Villages for 15 years and was a villager for five years. She is a former dean of the Spanish Village Weekends.

She is fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese and has studied German.



Kerisa Kika Baedke is dean of El Lago del Bosque, the Spanish Language Village, Marine On St. Croix (first half). Baedke earned her B.A. in French and Spanish teaching and her M.A. in Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa. She studied for a semester in Colima, Mexico. After graduation, she worked for a year as a French language assistante in Beauvais, France

Baedke is a Spanish and French teacher at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School in West Des Moines, Iowa. In 1996, Baedke was named Outstanding Educator of the Year at the secondary level by the Iowa World Language Association. She is the past president of that organization.

Baedke has been on staff at Concordia Language Villages for seven years.

She is fluent in Spanish and French, and has studied Portuguese.


 

Jennifer Alma Rein is the dean of Spanish Village Weekends. She holds a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis on accounting from Minnesota State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. She is pursuing a second bachelor's degree in Spanish from the same university.

 

Rein has spent time abroad studying and working in Cuba and Costa Rica.

She is fluent in Spanish.

 

She has been on staff at Concordia Language Villages for three years.

 

 



Marcus Marcos Erickson is the Village Weekends chair, Spanish Language Village dean, and staff development associate. He graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, with a degree in Spanish and German education. He is working on a master's degree in Teacher Education at Bemidji State University. He also studied in Pamplona, Spain and at Concordia's Institute of German Studies.

He has been on Concordia Language Villages staff for ten years.

He is fluent in Spanish and German.



Jill Belén Fischer is dean of El Lago del Bosque, Callaway, the Spanish Language Village. Fischer earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and secondary education from Concordia College, Moorhead. She studied for a semester in Pamplona, Spain at the Universidad de Navarra. Fischer received her Master of Education degree from the University of Minnesota with a specialization in Second Languages and Cultures. She teaches Spanish at St. Francis High School in St. Francis, Minn.

She has been on Concordia Language Villages staff for 17 years and was a villager at the Norwegian Language Village for two years. She was also a High School Rotary exchange student in Mexico for one year.

She is fluent in Spanish and has studied French and Arabic.



Corey Tomás Maslowski is dean of the Spanish Credit Abroad Program. He earned his bachelor's degree in Spanish and Elementary Education from Concordia College in Moorhead. He studied at the Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain and at Centro Bilingüe in Cuernavaca, Mexico. He graduated with his Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas. He is pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. Corey currently teaches fifth grade in Spanish at Park Spanish Immersion School in St. Louis Park, MN.

 

Maslowski has worked in many different positions with the abroad program and the Minnesota based programs during the summers and the academic year. This is his ninth year with Concordia Language Villages.

He is fluent in Spanish.




Diane Diana Tess is dean of El Lago del Bosque, the Spanish Language Village at the Bemidji site. Tess earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and history from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has also done post-graduate work at Cardinal Stritch and Viterbo College. Tess teaches at Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wis.

Diane has been on Concordia Language Villages staff for 29 years.

She is fluent in Spanish and has studied Italian.
