Eligibility
To be eligible you must:

• Have completed your freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year of high school but not yet entered any college or university as a fully-enrolled freshman.

• Be 15 to 18 years of age.

• Demonstrate language proficiency comparable to two years of high school study in the language. Telephone interviews are conducted by the dean upon receipt of your application form. Interview questions in English and the target language determine your overall interest in the program and assess your oral proficiency. Family stay applications and letters assess written skills.

Credit Abroad Application Process

2. Send two completed recommendation forms

• available online or by calling 800-222-4750
• One must be from a language instructor

3. Send unofficial high school transcript

4. Receive a phone call requesting a telephone interview with the program dean.

5. Complete and return family-stay application and letter

Upon notification of acceptance into the program, please fill out, sign, and return:

You also need to:

10. Apply for U.S. passport before March 15

11. Send photocopy of passport signature page to Concordia Language Villages for records in case of loss or theft while abroad

12. Make final payments*
March 15 – Second payment of $1900
April 15 – Final payment

Return your Credit Abroad Application and $1900 deposit before January 1, 2005 and receive a $200 discount off your final payment!
