Village Weekends
are for students in language classes and their teachers.
If you enjoy
the innovative immersion learning techniques used by the Villages
throughout the summer, attend a Village Weekend at one of
our Turtle River Lake sites near Bemidji, Minn.
Concordia Language Villages provides a fun and exciting immersion
experience for students aged 7-18 and their language teachers.
Village Weekends are designed to enhance language learning
in the classroom during the academic year.
Students understanding can improve
dramatically during a Village Weekend and rekindle the excitement
of language learning. Language learning and culture comes
to life through authentic games, arts, sports, traditions,
music, food and native staff.
Teachers also have the opportunity to communicate in their
chosen language at a conversational level, exchange ideas
with other language teachers and learn how to integrate Village
activities and games into their classrooms back home.
