Spanish Adult Immersion Week
La Movida Latina

Spanish speakers of all levels are invited to learn about
La Movida Latina at El Lago del Bosque.
Language sessions are complemented by cultural presentations
on the life and culture of various Spanish-speaking countries.
Feast on authentic cuisine, learn traditional games and arts
and crafts. Dust off your dancing shoes for traditional and
non-traditional dancing, and warm-up your voice for Spanish
canciones (songs). It’s a weeklong fiesta filled
with language and fun.

Finnish language and life surround you at Salolampi.
Language instruction at all levels is supplemented by special
presentations on the life and culture of Finnish people throughout
the world. Hear and sing the music, enjoy the cuisine and
try the crafts, games and dances of Finland. Enjoy the Finnish
sauna on Turtle River Lake as you visit with others from near
and far who share the same interests.

Immersion Week
Le Monde Francophone
Date: September 25-October 1, 2005

Journey through the French-speaking world as the staff of
Lac du Bois introduces you to French language and
culture. Discover the diverse cultures of French-speaking
people throughout the world through the music and stories
of Africa, North America, Europe and the Caribbean. Learn
about French traditions of these diverse regions of the world
and enjoy the varied, delightful cuisine as each meal introduces
food from a different part of the French-speaking world.
German-Immersion Adult Week
Deutsch auf Deutsch
Date: October 2-8, 2005
Location: Waldsee
Cost: $545 ($445 for commuters)
Learn German by using it exclusively during our German-Immersion
Adult Week. Language instruction sessions are the emphasis
of this program. Sessions are conducted exclusively
in German and supplemented by cultural presentations
about history, geography and the daily life of Germans in
Europe and throughout the world. Although the staff teaches
only in German, individuals at all levels of German proficiency
are invited to experience the methods we have used successfully
with young people for 43 years.
Rosemaling Spring
Workshop
Date: May 1-4, 2005
Location: Skogfjorden
Cost: $305 ($250 for commuters)
Learn Norwegian painting from highly experienced Gold Medal
instructors. Jean Giese of DeSoto, Wisc. will instruct beginners
and intermediate participants on her spontaneous traditional
and non-traditional Telemark. Mary Morton of Bemidji,
Minn. Shares her experiences with beginning and intermediate
painters in the Rogaland style of Rosemaling.
Rosemaling Fall
Workshop
Date: September 25-28, 2005

Norwegian Rosemaling comes to life during this unique
workshop. June Nyberg from Superior, Wisconsin, a long-time
time instructor for Concordia Language Villages, returns to
offer instruction at all levels in cloth painting, Nisse (Norwegian
little people), trolls, animal, border painting and a touch
of Telemark Rosemaling. Ruth Wolfgram of Whitefish
Bay, Wisc. utilitzes her unique style and instructs a variety
of techniques in history, design and even creating your own
Telemark patterns.

level, you will have the atmosphere and encouragement you
need for using and improving your Swedish skills. Expand your

in a variety of activities including handcrafts, baking, singing
and dancing.
