The Annual Faculty Art Exhibition opened at Concordia College Dec. 4 and runs through Sunday, Feb. 17 in the Cyrus M. Running Gallery on the Moorhead, Minn., campus. Gallery hours are 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday. For more information call the Art Department at (218) 299-4623. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

 

The music department at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will present the annual Pops & Popcorn Concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2 in Memorial Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. For an information only line call (218) 299-4515.

 

A Business Ethics Luncheon sponsored by the Center for Ethical Leadership at Concordia College will take place at noon, Friday, Feb. 8 at the Courtyard by Marriott, Moorhead, Minn. The lecture, “Ethics Begin with Values,” will be presented by Vern Dosch, president and CEO of National Information Solutions Cooperative. The cost of the luncheon is $10 and reservations are required five days in advance. Please call (218) 299-3305 for more information or to register.

 

Jenna McNallie, a Concordia College senior, will present a lecture as part of the 2007-08 Student Lecture Series at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12 in Birkeland Alumni Lounge on the Moorhead, Minn., campus. The Concordia College Theatre Department will present the play “Quilters,” by Barbara Damashek and Molly Newman at 8 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 14-16 and 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17 in Frances Frazier Comstock Theatre on the Moorhead, Minn., campus. After touring Minnesota and Wisconsin, the Concordia College Band will present a Home Concert at 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17 in Memorial Auditorium on the Moorhead, Minn., campus. The concert is free and open to the public. For an information only line call (218) 299-4515.

 

The Concordia College Music Department will present the Cobber Band Composer Concert at 7:30 pm., Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the Orchestra Recital Hall/North Choral Room, Hvidsten Hall of Music on the Moorhead, Minn., campus. Dr. Pedro S. Meléndez, associate professor of Spanish and Hispanic studies at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will present a Centennial Research Scholar Lecture “Strategies for Improving Proficiency Levels in First-Year Spanish Students,” at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21 in Birkeland Alumni Lounge.
