Director of Vocation Formation

Beth Haivala Anderson, diaconal minister, is the vocations associate at Concordia College. She concentrates on helping students explore their vocation as they connect their gifts, their passions and their desire to make a difference in the world.

She is available to assist students in a variety of ways including:

  • Individual conversations about vocation and calling.
  • Individual and group spiritual direction—a process of asking the question “Where is God in my life?” and listening for God with the help of a spiritual companion.
  • As a resource for seminars, trainings, workshops etc. Presentations can be tailored to fit the needs of a particular group.

Sample Workshops:

  • Whistle While You Work Calling Cards Activity
  • Values and Vocation
  • Life map: Where I’ve Been and Where I’m Going
  • Growing in Love, Serving Others: A Conversation with Roberta Bondi
  • Spirituality and Vocation (Spiritual Gifts)
  • Life Keys: Discovering Who You Are, Why You’re Here, and What You Do Best
