Welcome Homecoming 2007
Jessica Lipinski ’08
Hello! My name is Jessica Lipinski and I am from Willmar, MN. This fall I will begin my senior year at Concordia where I am majoring in Social Work and Psychology. Following graduation it is my hope to become a school social worker. In addition to being Homecoming chair, I am also involved with the Student Association for Social Workers and Relay for Life. My interests include volunteering in the community, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
I am excited that this will be my second year on the Homecoming Committee. Last year I was co-chair of the Parade. My experience as a Parade co-chair was exciting, fast-paced, and challenging all at the same time. I learned the time and dedication it takes to plan such a wonderful event and wanted to be more involved in welcoming home Alumni; that is why I have decided to take on the responsibility as the chair. I wouldn’t be able to do my job without the amazing Homecoming Committee which has been working diligently to ensure that you all feel as if you are truly welcomed home. The 2007 Homecoming committee comprises 31 of Concordia’s finest students. This years Homecoming theme is “Maroon and Gold Never Grow Old.”
Not only do I owe the Committee many thanks for their hard work, I would not have been able make it this far without the incredible amount of support and love from my family. I am a first generation cobber here at Concordia College and I couldn’t be more proud of that fact. My parents are Ernie and Gwen Lipinski. My dad is a self employed electrician who contracts to companies all over the state of Minnesota and my mom is a customer service representative at Willmar Municipal Utilities. My sister, Samantha recently graduated from Willmar Senior High and will be attending St. Cloud Technical College this fall.
On behalf of the 2007 Homecoming Committee and all of Concordia College, it is with great joy and anticipation that I invite all of you back to Concordia where, “Maroon and Gold Never Grow Old.”
