Hotel
Info :
You are free to stay at any hotel you desire in the F-M area.
The hotels are filling quickly, so I suggest making
your reservations ASAP. Many folks are staying at the
Courtyard By Marriott which is terrific. The Radisson
in downtown Fargo is already filled by a convention
in town. I have a block of rooms reserved at the Days
Inn in Moorhead which has recently been renovated.
The phone number for the hotel is 218-287-7100 or 877-287-7100.
Rates range from $75 to $85 per night. I will
be staying at this hotel. If you have other hotel questions
please use contact #1 from above.
Event

events.)
Friday
October 8, 2004
Registration: Noon -
9pm. South Gym, Memorial Auditorium and Offutt Concourse,
Olson Forum.
First Decade.Or So Reunion:
This event is designed to bring young alums from the
90's and 00's together. It is open to all alumni whether
celebrating a reunion or not. Features live music from
a cappella sensation Marcoux Corner. Begins at 9:00pm
at the Plains Art Museum in downtown Fargo. Tickets are $11
in advance (Contact #3) and covers entertainment and food,
or $12 at the door. Beverages will be available for
purchase.
Saturday
October 9, 2004
Registration: 7am - 1pm.
South Gym, MA, and Offutt Concourse, OF
Reunion Breakfast: Begins
at 9:00am . The location will be found in your registration
packet. A continental breakfast will be served with
tickets costing $6.00. (Tickets can be purchased at Contact
#3). The breakfast is a time to hear about updates about life
at Concordia and gives us a chance to hear from each other.
Please feel free to bring spouses and children.
If children will not be eating, no ticket purchase is required.
Reminder: Tickets need to be ordered
in advance so they know what size room placement to make for
us . I do have some requests to make
from all of you. (All responses to these requests should be
sent to Contact #1.) First, I need one of
our esteemed pastors in the class who would be willing to
do the invocation for the breakfast. Second, we will be inviting
2-3 professors to attend the breakfast. Suggestions
on who you would like to see attend would be appreciated.
Third, there will be a Then and Now photo display or
presentation. The committee needs your photos from
then, but more importantly the now would be greatly appreciated.
I'm somewhat artistic, but not that technologically
advanced so anyone who is brilliant or knows more than how
to download photos from email is more than welcome to help
in this endeavor. Any involvement that any of you make
will help to make our class
reunion that much more special.
Homecoming Parade: Begins
at 11:00am. We decided not to participate in the parade
with a float this year, but would like to invite all of you
to come and watch the parade. We will meet between
10:30am - 10:45am in front (west side) of Old Main and then
move to the parade route to find a great spot to enjoy the
finery of one of Concordia's greatest traditions!!
(You would never know that I was a Homecoming Parade
Co-Chair! J
)
Football Game: Concordia
will be challenged by Hamline in another terrific gridiron
match. The game begins at 1:00pm. This event
is being left to individual discretion, but I strongly encourage
you to support those young Cobber football players in their
attainment of glory.
"A Prairie Home Companion" Radio
Broadcast: The biggest and most exciting event for
alumni this year is Garrison Keillor's live radio broadcast
from Concordia from 4:45pm - 7pm.
You can enter the lottery to purchase tickets using the lottery
registration form in the enclosed Cobber X-tra.
Reunion Evening Gathering:
For those of you unfortunate to not get tickets to the radio
broadcast we will be meeting for appetizers, dinner, and nighttime
revelry at a location to be announced at the breakfast.
You can also receive information about this event by reaching
Contact #1. Suggestions are always welcome in this
area.
Sunday,
October 10, 2004
All Campus Worship: Worship
is at 10:30am in Memorial Auditorium. Please make your
Concordia Reunion complete by coming together for worship.

It
has been another busy year for all of us. The biggest
change that I have endured is my husband has been commuting

eventually be moving to Pennsylvania with his job, but the
moving date keeps getting pushed back. Keep your fingers
crossed, and maybe we will be moved before Homecoming.
Thanks for sending your updates, continue to keep us all informed
about your lives.

CLASS
CHALLENGE
I
would like to thank the 124 people who contributed last year
which gave us a participation rate of 21.6%. As the
economy continues to struggle, it is still difficult for many
of us to find the extra money to give. The college
and the students appreciate every dollar that you are able
to share and contribute to the continuing excellence that
Concordia strives for each year. Hopefully, during
our reunion year we can each dig a little deeper and give
back to an institution that provided us with valuable knowledge
and life-expanding experiences. Thank you.
LOST
COBBERS
The
lost Cobbers list is large again this year, so your help would
be appreciated. If you know where any of the following
lost Cobbers are please let Alumni Office know where to find
them, call 1-800-699-9020 and ask for Lissa. Thanks
for your help.
