2005 Outstanding Performances: Hanson finished
third at the Montana State Invitational. She ran a 17:49.00 over the
3-mile course at Montana State and was the only non NCAA Division I
or II athlete to finish in the top 20 of the meet. Hanson beat out
runners from Division I Utah State, the University of Utah, Idaho State
and host Montana State. For her performance at the meet she was named
the MIAC Women’s Cross
Country Athlete of the Week. Last week she finished fourth out of 336
runners at the Roy Griak Invite held at the University of Minnesota.
Career Highlights:
2004 - Finished seventh at the MIAC Championship
Cross Country Meet and earned All-Conference honors for the first time
in her career. She went on to place 19th at the NCAA Central Region Meet.
Personal – President of the Student Environmental Alliance (SEA)…hobbies
include Ultimate Frisbee and cooking ...favorite musical groups are Travis
and Nickel Creek…favorite foods are whole foods, tofu and chocolate…favorite
movie is Dodgeball.
Why Did You Choose to Come to Concordia?
“I chose Concordia because Marv (head coach Marv Roeske) really made
me feel welcome and I felt that I could trust him. I really liked the way he
talked about Concordia and all the great things it had to offer.”
What do you like best about Concordia?
“I really like the people. From Marv, to my teammates and everyone I
have met at Concordia. They are all great and I know that I will have made
friendships that will last forever.”
