2005 Outstanding Performances: Won both portions of the 1-meter diving
competition at the UM-Morris Relays. She captured the first event with
a score of 155.85 and then claimed the second phase with a total score
of 207.75...won the 1-meter diving event at the Concordia/Macalester
Dual Meet. She won the voluntary portion bv over 17 points and the optional
dive competition by 26 points...team captain.
Career Highlights:
2004-05 – Qualified for
the NCAA Division III National Swimming and Diving Meet for the first
time in her career...placed 20th in both the 1-meter and the 3-meter
competitions at the national meet...named the MIAC Co-Diver of the
Year after winning the 3-meter competition and finishing second in
the 1-meter event at the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championship Meet...named
the MIAC Diver of the Week on Feb. 2 for her performance at the MSU
Moorhead meet where she provisionally qualified for the national meet.
Personal: Gymnastics captain at Moorhead
HS...All-State in gymnastics, soccer and track in high school...letters
in gymnastics, soccer, track, and academics at Moorhead HS…daughter
of Terry and Nancy…hobbies
include running, rollerblading, hanging out with friends, laughing with
roomies…favorite foods are mac ‘n cheese, candy, and cake-batter
ice cream…favorite movies are Uptown Girls, Zoolander, America’s
Sweethearts, and Napoleon Dynamite.
Why Did You Choose to Come to Concordia? “Originally
I wanted to go to Med School, and Concordia had a good reputation.
Also to play soccer.”
What do you like best about Concordia? ”The friends I’ve
made, fun community, swim and dive team.”
The person I admire most is: ”My brothers.”
How I Spent My Summer: Worked at Cullen Insulation and hung out with
family and friends.
