National Nutrition Month

March marks the time to celebrate National Nutrition Month. This year’s theme is “Eat Right, Your Way, Everyday”. In Dining Services, we are promoting this national campaign through a variety of activities and events over the next two weeks. On C-News, we will be featuring some nutrition tips to help you eat right, your way, everyday!

Nutrition Tip #1: Remembering to eat breakfast every day is important!
There’s no better way to start your morning than with a healthy breakfast. You want to include a lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. You can try oatmeal made with low-fat milk and sprinkled with almonds and berries or bananas. Another great option is a whole-wheat English muffin, scrambled eggs and a slice of cheese with a cup of 100% orange juice.
