Fighting Diseases of the Poor Presented by Dr. Jennifer Bath
"Fighting Diseases of the Poor: The War Against Chronic Parasitic Infections" will be presented by Dr. Jennifer Bath on Sunday, March 3, 1:30-3:30pm.
Dr. Bath will share two aspects of research conducted to help treat and prevent parasitic diseases. The first is current methods of STH prevention utilized by individuals in Southeast Asia, assessing how knowledge, culture, awareness and tradition plan a role in disease prevention and treatment. Dr. Bath will also share data from research currently being conducted by students at Concordia, as they investigate the design, production and testing of anti-STH vaccines.
This presentation is sponsored by F/M Communiversity. Course fee is $12; Concordia faculty and staff pay $6; students may attend at no charge. Check in is in Ivers Science Building lobby.
