Intern in China

 Attention All Seniors,

Are you graduating and unsure of what to do next? Unprepared for the ‘real world’? Need a resume booster? Or do you want more international experience before settling into a career? Here is your chance.

The United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, China is looking for graduating seniors from the MPCC Colleges to fill their internship positions for the 2013-14 academic school year (August 2013-June 2014). These positions will help you gain experience in working in specialized fields in higher education. Positions are available in the areas of computer science and technology, applied psychology, public relations and advertising, English language and literature, and more. Approximately 25 positions in all. See attachment for the full list of opportunities.

UIC was the first liberal arts college in mainland China. It was founded in 2005 and has been a Concordia College study away partner since 2008. All classes (with the exception of language courses) are taught in English, making it a bi-lingual campus.

Interns will be reimbursed for their round-trip flight to China, receive free lodging (minus utilities), and receive a monthly stipend of RMB5000 (US$800). Also included are two Chinese language classes per week (1.5 hours each) and 2-4 visits to historical sites or museums.

The application requirements include the attach application, a resume, two letters of recommendation, a transcript with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, and a brief interview with the Office of Global Education. Note the deadline is February 22nd, 2013 so please act quickly.
